ACP Media’s Role
As New Zealand’s largest magazine publisher, ACP Media is in a leadership position to take an active role in supporting and educating consumers and business in the value of CSR and wider sustainable business practice.
The Journey has Just Begun
The CSR process is a journey and the ACP Media senior management team have invested time and resources in understanding CSR, its value to the business and how we use our position as an employer and a publisher to positively impact on the lives of our staff, New Zealand society and return benefits for our shareholders.
The next steps are to consolidate and expand our current CSR initiatives and to continue to evolve our current practices to ensure we are doing the best we can with the available resources.
Building on Success
The journey ACP Media has taken has already driven positive changes that have led to major successes. These have been recognised in the recent achievement of being awarded “Gold Status” in the Enviro-Mark®NZ awards. ACP Media joins a select 20 companies who achieve this distinction each year. ACP Media is responsible for recycling and power utilisation around our office sites in New Zealand. For more information on this initiative, please click here.

Magazines Play a Special Role in CSR
Magazines have a special role to play in connecting with and creating their own communities. These communities in many cases have a strong interest in CSR and are actively involved themselves in this area. Magazine readers are actively purchasing products and services from companies that have a CSR or sustainable business philosophy which creates a great environment for companies to promote their own CSR.
